Hello, and happy Monday! (Monday, Monday- know that song?)
I am off to a good start and taking care of business (man there’s another song…) Anyway, we had a great weekend in the Burnett household, we got a lot done. I kind of feel like my weekend started on Thursday because I got my hair done. I love getting my hair done. It makes me feel good. (I Feel Good! Knew that I would… Ok enough with the songs)
I snapped a quick shot while getting my hair shampooed. See…
That’s a silly pic, I look a little worried. I’m awful at taking selfies and feel weird taking them. I snapped this photo real quick when Mrs. Teresa walked away. Mrs. Teresa works at Cheveux where I get me hair done and she gives the BEST Shampoos! They feel so good.
Here’s the after. Thanks to my hairstylist Lynn. She’s a fabulous hair dresser and very popular! I have to book her months in advance.
Again, not good with the selfies. I snapped this in the car. I once said I would never take a picture of myself in the drivers seat of the car. Never say never. I only took this picture for the blog. I feel ridiculous taking pictures of myself in public. Like someone is going to drive by and see me and think that I’m a little self consumed, or conceited. Although nowadays it seems to be the thing to do.
I was a bit down on Friday. So I did two things that make me feel real good. One, I went to Dunkin Donuts for a small iced coffee to pick me up. This one was half decaf and half caffeinated. Did you know Dunkin now offers Almond milk? Neither did I. I got all excited about it and asked for a splash of it in my ice coffee.
However, I took a sip and it was a little too sweet for me! Not sure if it’s the brand they use or if the brand has added sugar. Not a fan. (of the almond milk silly, of course I’m a Ravens fan :)) I finished it though.
On Friday evening I was in the mood to bake cookies. So I turned to one of my favorite bloggers, Tina from carrotsncake for a healthy-ish cookie recipe. I made her Gluten Free Almond Joy Cookies. Holy yum! They didn’t last long in our house.
Saturday we had to wait for our new bedroom set to get delivered. Yay! It has been 16 years since Bob and I got a new bed and we needed night stands too. We didn’t have to wait too long. By 9:30 am Ikea had delivered our new bedroom furniture. The boys helped Bob put it together, while I painted the wall fixtures and tray for my night table.

I got the J<3 B idea from Pinterest. I have been wanting to do that for a long time now. I also like the little detail on the night tables…
I love the little Abby dog statue, now I just need to find one of Jedi. I think I might just take a black and white photo of him and frame it. Painting that tray took no time at all.
Remodeling a room always makes me feel good. Kind of brings a sense of renewal. Now I just need to get my fall decorations out.
Question: What makes you feel good?
What do you think about selfies? Are you good at taking them?
