Yikes! I just realized it’s been a while since I last blogged. To be fair, I have been out of town and then playing catch up, so that’s my excuse.
Anyway, today I want to talk about The Bigness Project. The Bigness Project is a 14 week hypertrophy program that Jen Sinkler and Kourtney Thomas designed to get you bigger beautiful muscles. I am coming to the end of the program and wanted to share my experience with you.
I. Love. It! K bye. No really, my body is responding very well to this program. I definitely feel more toned and even my movement has improved. In addition to doing the Bigness Project I really dialed in my nutrition. I started tracking calories and macros, because I needed the data as well as to make sure I was eating enough to fuel my muscles after workouts. I have lost 12 pounds, and about 12 inches off of my total body, that includes butt, waist, legs, etc. So I totally got results.
Now, you will have to put in the time for the Bigness Project program. If I were to compare it to let’s say a CrossFit workout, I would say you will need to be patient. A CrossFit class might be about 45 minutes long, not including the warm-up and cool down and of course depending on the WOD/day. Some are a lot less. The Bigness Project sessions can take an hour and a half to two hours. A two hour workout for me includes the cardio portion offered in the program. It’s optional, but I enjoy a little cardio and Kourtney Thomas delivers a smart way of doing it, if you choose to use it. Keep in mind there will be longer rest breaks between sets and as you continue with the program, your rest will decrease but only from about 2:00 to 1:00. The sets and reps go up as you continue the program. For example: one of the main lift exercises I’m doing this week has me doing 6×15. So it gets a bit intense and you WILL FEEL THE BURN. Lol!
A few times Bob joined me for this workout and he struggled big time. So much so that he was humbled and wants to do The Bigness Project as part of his own training. That says a lot, because the dude is strong, especially in his upper body, so the fact that he struggled is definitly a statement!
Jen Sinkler and Kourtney Thomas will be relaunching The Bigness Project May 2nd! If you sign up for Jen Sinkler’s newsletter this week, she will send you Kourtney Thomas’s free arm builder. Just click on their names and it will send you to their sites where you can totally get more info. BTW, I don’t know either of these ladies and I’m not affiliated with either of them, I just follow strong women and when they came out with this program I was totally stoked to give it a shot. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this program! If you have been wanting to switch things up, perhaps you train/workout but feel like you want to look like you train, i.e. bigger toned muscles, then get this program. The price is so reasonable and the results are satisfying!
Next up, as soon as I wrap up The Bigness Project, I’m staring the RP Female Physique training. I just started following RP Strength nutrition and I’m excited to make more progress, I’ll keep you all posted of course.
